BUSINESS PROBLEM
The current family-owned honey company lacks a cohesive and professional brand identity. Although their products are high-quality and locally made, the business appears small-scale and inconsistent in presentation, which limits its ability to attract new customers, expand into retail, and compete with established honey brands.
To grow, the company needs a clear and approachable brand that reflects its family roots while conveying professionalism and trust. This includes developing a distinctive visual identity, a consistent tone of voice, and a packaging system for their first range of honey products that communicates authenticity and quality to both local and wider markets.

BRAND IDENTITY
Knowing that the brand needed longevity and personality, the updated brand identity combines the story of the family; the children seeing their parents as the “Guardians of the bees” with stripped back, utilitarian typography and hand drawn illustrations to allow the brand to stand alone in it’s sector.
A simple colour palette allows for contrast on shelf. The new logo integrates both the beehive and guardian into the logomark whilst allowing the type to anchor it. Again, doubling down on the family Guardians.
The new brand adds personality and utilising a ‘to the point’ tone of voice, just makes this brand feel even more ownable for the founders. A set of illustrations that they can use throughout their brand is provided with a few hero ‘taglines’ that can be used throughout their marketing.
Out of all of this, the new SKU range is what really gives this brand legs, allowing them to move from the farmers markets to in-store, competing against the top dogs in their sector by having a jar that screams their story.

The guardians come from the tale that the family are the keepers of honey and hive.
