Turning a local brick-and-mortar bakery into a nation wide possibility. Developing their bake-at-home kits and showcasing them through a new website and packaging.

BUSINESS PROBLEM
Grotto Bakery had built a strong local reputation but was struggling to extend that success online. Their brand lacked the clarity and consistency needed to connect with new audiences or effectively sell their products through digital channels.
Through a brand sprint, we helped Grotto Bakery define a cohesive brand that translated their warm, community-focused identity into the online space. This included refining their visual identity, developing a distinctive tone of voice, and creating the foundations for a digital presence that felt as inviting and authentic as their in-store experience.
BRAND IDENTITY
The new identity combined the rustic, hand-crafted essence of baking, combining a grounded colour palette, hand drawntypography and unique shapes. The logo system is a no-size fits all and is supposed to be different from the next allowing the bakery to change and fit depending on which medium they are using.
We created them a simple, stripped back packaging range for their range of “Home-bake kits”. Stripping back the label itself means the brand can speak for itself. All in all, the new brand evokes the friendly, kind and welcoming nature that the bakery has in it's community, just online.
We developed a whole new website that showcased not just their ‘bake-at-home’ range, but gave Grotto Bakery the chance to gain new customers.
